YOUR MAP FOR SUCCESS AND VICTORY

DECLARE IT WITH WORDS

Psalm 107:2, “Let the redeemed of the Lord say so.”

Hebrew 4:12 teaches us that the Word of God is a sharp, two-edged sword. I believe that one edge of the sword defeats the adversary. In contrast, the other edge slices open the blessings of heaven.

Ephesians 6:17-that the sword the Spirit wields, which is the Word of God, is one of our armor to be worn for the battle to do spiritual warfare effectively. David, in the Psalms verses, often made a statement like, “I will say of our Lord, He is my Refuge and my Fortress, my God; on Him, I lean and rely upon, and in Him I (confidently) trust! (Psalms 91:2).

Maybe, we should regularly ask ourselves, “What am I saying of the Lord? We must tell the right things, not just think and meditate on them. A person may think, “I believe all those good things about the Lord and praise Him. I should give Him thanksgiving and be grateful for what He has done for me. People often claim to believe something, yet the opposite comes from their mouths of complaining and murmuring. We need to talk out loud. We need to do it at the proper times and places, but we must be sure we do it. This means we let verbal confessions become part of our fellowship time with God.

KEEP PRESSING ON

Philippians 3:13-14-13 [a]Brothers and sisters, I do not consider that I have made it my own yet; but one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and reaching forward to what lies ahead, 14 I press on toward the goal to win the [heavenly] prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. (AMP).

Our relationship with God is progressive, and we all move from one level to another. No one ever becomes a master of communication with God. I’ve been studying the Bible and other faith-filled materials from my mentors, but I know I still have to learn more because there is no limit to the depth of relationship we can have with Him. It just keeps growing, keeps going deeper, keeps getting stronger. On the other hand, our ability to hear His voice develops and improves over time. Over time and with practice, we get better at sharing our hearts with God. We also become more skilled and experienced at hearing His still, small voice and understanding what He is saying to us. That’s why it is imperative to spend time and fellowshipping with Him and read the Bible and faith-filled materials because He speaks in these aspects. We never become certified experts in prayer and never stop learning to communicate with God. Our experiences just keep getting improving, more affluent, and better.

God has so much for you, and though you may not have arrived at your final destination, you can thank God you are on the pathway that will take you there. Though, as long as you are making progress and improving, it doesn’t matter if you are crawling, walking, or running your goal. Just keep pressing on. You are okay, and you’re on your way.

Prayer is born out of the relationship with God. It talks to God about something He has done and answered our prayers. It is a fellowship, friendship, and intimacy and an opportunity to express gratitude for all God has done. You can talk to Him about something that bothers you than your friends that may not be reliable. It is important to talk to God with intimacy. I do! I talk to God as my Father and Friend thicker than brother.
