2 Peter 1:21, “ESV For no prophecy was ever produced by the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.
For prophecy never had its origin in the human will, but prophets, though human, spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit. (NIV).
As the Lord says, “I wrote my word through the Holy Spirit. When you read my words, you are hearing my voice. You don’t have to wait for a sign from Heaven or a special inner feeling to get closer to me. Just go to my word, and you will hear my voice. It won’t be my voice from the past but my living, active voice that is speaking to you right now.” (Hebrews 4:12).
That means we are encountering His word. Whether you read it for yourself or listen to it being read, it is like having a personal conversation with God. You don’t have to wait for that to happen. You can hear Him anytime you choose, as He gives you Revelation, Wisdom, and Knowledge. The Rhema word is the quickening of the word when you have issues that are difficult to handle. You speak the power of the word of God in your life. That’s why it’s essential to read, meditate day and night, and study His word, which I describe in this book.
That’s possible because of the way He wrote the Bible. He used the Holy Spirit to breathe His words into handpicked people called prophets so they could capture His message of love and hope for us. Because this same Holy Spirit lives in you now, as a born-again believer, you can personally experience Him and know the plans He has for you and me every time we read His word.
