REST IN THE FINISHED WORK OF JESUS
And I believe it’s a truth that can set your life, as I’ve experienced, in a new direction even as you read this book. My friends, we’re never an underdog. You never have to feel defeated again. You and I are destined to live in victory because you’ve access to the most incredible power the world has ever known. I didn’t realize this until I was born again a decade ago. Most believers are unaware of this, but it’s true! The power I’m talking about is rooted in faith and grace. It’s a power greater than any obstacle you may be facing in your life today. I strive to restore my soul and live victoriously as a Christian.
Have you realized how powerful we are? Not because of the volume of our voice, the number of times we fast, or the time we spend in prayer. We’re most powerful when we fully believe in God’s love for us. I remembered listening to one of Creflo Dollar’s CDs during my afternoon walk. As I walked along, I crossed to the other side of the road. Deep down, I heard a still small voice, but this time, it was an audible voice, “I love you! “Three times.” So, I looked around, maybe those drunk men in that house, but it was a bit far from where I heard. So, I kept listening to the CD and continued walking to go home. That was last August 2018. I will never forget it! The title of the CD is “Overflow Prosperity.”
We are unbeatable when we fight from a posture of rest. For the weapons of our warfare are powerful through Him, through the unwavering confidence of our position in Him. Fear will not push us to react when we fully believe in His love and understand His character. Instead, we’ll respond with faith. We will consider that God is “I am who say I am.” We’ll find that place of calmness and stillness that contradicts warfare when we trust His love for us.
We are powerful when we believe He is aware of the battle and that He’s fighting for us and alongside us. REST is one of the most powerful weapons because it reveals the absence of fear in us. Out of the place of REST, He brings out, uncovers, and unveils, through peace, precisely what we need to do or what we don’t need to do. Glory! We find our strength in the place of intimacy with Him.
“Suddenly, as they crossed the lake, a ferocious storm arose, with violent winds and waves crashing into the boat until it was all but swamped. But JESUS slept calmly in the stern, resting on a cushion.” Mark 4:37-38 (TPT)
I realized I could genuinely want to see those dreams come to pass, or in reality, but it will take effort and commitment. Therefore, I decided to pause and have a Sabbath rest. At the same time, I went over all the faith-filled materials to review and study more, Bible study, and pray. Spend my time with the Lord. I walked away from social media and the things that waste my time. I chose to go after the most I desire to pursue, the book writing and publishing of the Gospel, by sharing my experiences with others and my divine purpose.
I know that God created me to succeed in my heart, but it doesn’t mean that I don’t fail; there’s also a purpose, just a delay. It means there are lessons to learn along the way, not only the new version but different better versions. As I could see now, He wanted me to add more and better than the first one, especially the Covid-19 pandemic. When it didn’t work on the first attempt, it pushed me to dig deeper into the Word of God and more profound into prayer and study. It drives me into His presence for more and greater wisdom. The roadblocks and delays only serve as an alternate route, but I believe.
They gave me a different perspective by causing me to walk around them to see what I’ve missed and lacked that needs improving. I’m very thankful that God directed and guided me even through a graceful mistake. Otherwise, this book would not be like this platform and divinely written if not for that intervention from God in Hebrew named “Purim,” God’s intervention behind the scenes. I would miss topics I never contemplated writing after those 4 or 5 years. As you read it now, there are many additional spiritual subjects from my experiences to share with others. However, the grace mistakes can be a launching pad to a different dream dimension that I haven’t considered an important subject and topic. When I was writing this book, I would say, wow!!! I couldn’t believe it. I got the greater wisdom. What does evil mean evil turned out into good? PRAISE God!
However, I also refer to when I started to walk with God when I became a believer in 2004 as I began my faith journey. This awakening of my heart in His presence must continue to be cultivated on the battlefield. We always need the refreshing of His presence, which leads us beside the still waters throughout our lives. He has seen our unrelenting devotion and dedication to Him in the secret chambers as the designer of holy faith. The way we rest with Him and enjoy the sweet fragrance of His beautiful heart.
We must remain linked to God during times of great warfare. In other words, to fasten ourselves when everything turbulent clamors for our attention. We must carry the secret place within our hearts.
Therefore, the empowering of God’s glory is not for me only. It is also meant to be shared, which I am sharing with you. In other words, it is designed to mature me and bring me into the beauty of our partnership to teach me to love others and to remain powerful. This is the time for true discipleship and will be seen in sacred intimacy, sacrificial ministry, and faithfulness in suffering.
We enter into the finished work of Jesus on the cross and receive God’s grace and the manifestation of life. To empower us with things that we can’t do. By the sozu life and Zoe life-the essence of God that gives us the “Soteria” of the salvation for our deliverance from bondage.
What giants are you facing in your life? We develop confidence that God’s goodness and mercy are always with us, no matter the circumstances. You have to dig and immerse into the Word.
Psalm 23:6 says, “Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life; and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.”(KJV)
Believers question God’s goodness when they experience any kind of adversities and hardships. When the enemy attempts to bring trouble into our lives, it’s not about us. The issue is that he knows he is doomed and is furious about it. God loves us, and he can’t stand that; he’s trying to hurt God’s children.
