THE BIBLE WAY TO RECEIVE THE HOLY SPIRIT
The infilling of the New Testament believers with the Holy Ghost should be our pattern today. I suggest we look at the Apostles’ Acts, see how they did it, and follow their example in getting people filled with the Holy Ghost.
If you read Chapter 1 of Acts, just before Jesus ascended on high, we see this incredible scene and aspect. (Read Acts 1:4-5), Acts 2:1-4).
Acts 2:4, “And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all wig one accord in one place. And suddenly, there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, filling all the house where they were sitting. And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as fire, and it sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues.” Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.”(KJV).
That means I would have the same initial sign they had in the New Testament, the Bible evidence of speaking with tongues. I didn’t know this before as you read my testimony about this. When I heard that there is such a thing as this, I was very interested and enlightened about what they got in those days for those believers. I was convinced I could have that of what they’ve got.
Speaking with tongues is not the Holy Ghost; the Holy Ghost is not communicating with tongues, but they go hand in hand.
Another way God speaks to His children is through the gift of tongues. You may be surprised if you read this book portion because you’ve no experience learning from Christian teaching. However, even though I’ve been a Christian, I study the Bible. And even the different types of churches that I’ve attended. I’ve never heard about it. I know this is controversial, and some people don’t believe it. Some, even though they’re Christians for so many years until they’re gone with the Lord, they never know that it exists and is very dynamically powerful as a Christian. Although some know, they know, ignore, or are not interested.
Just like they have the right not to believe it, in my case, I’ve got the right to accept because of the divine anointing contacts that the Lord gave me to learn from their teaching. It’s also free will.
When writing this book, I write about Jesus’s message about the Holy Ghost and power in the New Testament because I figure that when a person GETS READY, YES! READY for there is a season, perfect will, timing, anointed, appointed time, and willingness by grace through faith. So, when they choose to reach out more of God’s presence, something dramatic will happen in their life, transformation and other goodness of God. If you want it, that Holy Spirit living in you will bubble up, fill them, and overflow! They’ll be filled to overflowing with His fiery presence.
When you experience this gift, I couldn’t tell you thoroughly and explain how you feel it. Still, it’s a mystery different from other gifts. You speak directly to God, and the enemy can’t understand what you’re talking about or can’t cipher or code your prayer or, let’s say your language.
Now, the tongue isn’t just a bunch of babbling and gibbering. It might sound that way, but it isn’t. It’s a gift of the Holy Spirit, and it has functions.
