IN EVERYTHING, WE PRAY AND ASK WITH A HEART OF THANKSGIVING
I think it’s a good idea to put a date on your calendar and set aside a special day to celebrate God for all He’s done in your life. Traditionally, we always spend our thanksgiving day during our birthday. I think it’s essential if you are going through something challenging. It is not about being thankful for only when you are happy, and everything is fine but also when you have problems, conflict, and troubles in life. It’s about being thankful, knowing that no matter what, God is with you. He’s leading you, and with Him, you are not going o make it but has a great testimony on the other side do the challenge.
I believe I am not the only One who desires and wants to answer our prayer. I have also wished that wish for God to manifest into my life for my request prayer. According to the Bible, “What shall I do for thee? Kind of Scripture where we are given explicit instruction. God is our Provider, the One Who wants us to ask Him for what we want. He is the Source of everything. Philippians 4:6 “says, “Be careful with nothing: but in everything but by prayer and supplication, and the words with thanksgiving let your requests be known unto God” (KJV).
I want you to take notice the words such as:
- The words everything,
- the words prayer and supplication
- the words with thanksgiving, let your request be made known unto God.
If God had no intention of listening to us or answering our requests, Philippians 4:6 would not exist in His Word. It’s another Word of God, “What shall I do for thee.”
This verse lets us know we are not supposed to get worried and is not good, but we should pray, ask, and give thanks when we make requests known to God. We go to God because gratitude is part of the process of receiving. The prayer is yes and amen. He is the Answer and the Source for our lives, and we go to Him with thanksgiving because gratitude is part of the process of receiving. Philippians 4:6 shows and indicates to get our needs, healing, deliverance, desires, wishes to come to pass, and want to be met the right way by making God a priority and seeing Him as our Provider and Source.
