That sounds great; regardless of its ups and downs, recession, inflation, crash, home loan interest has gone up, meltdown, and deflationary economy. How about the energy prices? Whatever the economy is going through. You can purchase whatever you need or want, regardless of how much money is in your bank account. Of course, you would say I am over the top and exaggerating. It sounds lovely if we live above all the turmoil in the world’s economy.
It sounds fantastic; you can do it if you are determined. But you can’t do it without God. Of course, but with Him, it’s possible. I acknowledge we have pensions as I write this. But when I was single, I had to toss my coin before I bought things. This means I was striving and struggling even though I held a degree in Business Administration – Management, which I considered significant, looking back now. I would say I’ve never been successful or prosperous, even though I’ve been a degree holder in my career.
I can testify to it in the past years. God has given us a way to buy without money. I have been learning from the Word how to buy without cash over the past few years. It’s a beautiful way to live because it’s not about possessions in material things, but about PEACE. Hebrew means “wholeness, with nothing missing, and nothing broken.”
With faith in God in your heart and mouth, you can live a PROSPEROUS life anytime, anywhere, because God is not dependent on the conditions in this world.
God is not limited by economic systems, recession, inflation, deflation, supply chain shortages, or anything else. They blame the energy crisis on the war in Ukraine, oil, gas, and coal, or the Covid-19 turmoil, all of which are true. No doubt about it. The housing crisis is a major problem: people are losing their homes and can’t afford housing, and the supply is short. Labor cost is enormously high.
God moves in the supernatural. He is an all-powerful Jehovah, not El Cheapo but El Shaddai. God is the Supreme Being, and nothing is impossible for Him. Whatever He says, He can and will do.
When you read the Old Testament, you see that the Israelites were delivered from the slavery of Egypt. He promised to bring them into the land that flowed with milk and honey to go to that land. They can even call their land “rich” if they believe God’s promise and act on it, because God has already given the longs to them.
In the New Testament, God has said much the same things He said, the divine power He “hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness” through the knowledge of Him and His promises (2 Peter 1:3).
No matter where we might be, “all things” are ours in Christ Jesus. (1 Corinthians 3:21). We’re the temple of the Holy Ghost as His mobile temples and our covenant of peace (Shalom). It includes healing for our bodies, righteousness for our spirits, soundness for our minds, and material prosperity. However, we have access to those benefits 24/7, wherever we go. God gave us His Word on it. The only part is to believe Him and receive.
John 15:7, NKJV , “If yo abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you.”This means God can make your dreams come true if you live in yourself.
He cares for our Almighty God, even our little dreams. Because of Him, if we’re born-again believers, we’re not just some random human being walking around on earth lost. We’re His child, unique to Him. Our heavenly Father loves us and watches over his children. He wants to protect you and me, grow you, and fulfill your heart’s desires. When I write this, whatever I don’t have and lack, I have great hope and faith as the anchor of my soul that will manifest in His own perfect time and will.
Moreover, God wants to do those things for all His children and our children. He is so loving and faithful, and His heart is so big. That’s why His name is “El Shaddai. He hasn’t left anyone out, nor has He forgotten anyone, for He has said to everyone.
Isaiah 55:1-3, “Isaiah 55:1-3 (NKJV). An Invitation to Abundant Life
55 “Ho! Everyone who thirsts,
Come to the waters;
And you who have no money,
Come, buy and eat.
Yes, come, buy wine and milk.
Without money and without price.
2 Why do you [a]spend money for what is not bread,
And your wages for what does not satisfy?
Listen carefully to Me, and eat what is good,
And let your soul delight itself in abundance.
3 Incline your ear, and come to Me.
Hear, and your soul shall live;
WHY STAY HUNGRY AND THIRSTY
When you read the phrase “come ye to the waters” in the Bible, it refers to the “life of God.” Until we come to Him and receive His life, the “sozu and Zoe life, the divine essence of God, nothing else in those verses will work for us. Without God, we won’t be above buying without money.
We’ll have to work hard to get what we want. Even if we manage to do so, we will still feel dissatisfied. We’ll waste our lives chasing material things. It doesn’t give us peace.
As Jesus said, if you seek first the kingdom of God-His ways of doing things and being right, everything in the natural realm will also be added unto you. According to Matthew 6:33, in other words, as I learned in the past years after my rebirth. Materials and financial security were not my issues. Still, I have different priorities, which are the spiritual things, for I may have financial security, but I was spiritually bankrupt.
Though I didn’t understand, I stepped back from my faith journey. Later, as I studied, I learned that there is no use in continuing to seek material possessions. First, I was confused, messed up, and feared that I couldn’t understand. I was spiritually thirsty, seeking to fill my soul, knowing I could make it all by coming to God and drinking His waters of life. Jesus is also the bread of life.
May you ask? How to come to God’s waters in life. It’s the salvation and receiving Jesus as your Lord and Saviour. He is the only way to God. I AM THE WAY, THE TRUTH, AND THE LIFE. He said, “No man cometh unto the Father, but by me…HE that hath the Son hath life; and he that not the Son of God hath not life”(John 14:6; 1 John 5:12).
I was a Christian since I was younger but didn’t understand fully and did not apply mmyself o be a Christian. I was interested in religion but didn’t know much about it. This is a vital truth that even I. I just realized that I don’t get the eternal life God kind of life just by joining a church or calling myself a Christian. I also know later that I don’t get it just by being religious and trying to behave myself. Some Christians place a sticker on their car and wear a cross as a necklace for symbolic reasons. We receive eternal life when we confess, declare, decree, believe in Jesus, and make Him our Lord. I encourage you to do it as I write the Salvation Prayer at the back of this book for confession. (See Salvation topic further).
When you pray that from your heart, all your sins are washed away, and you become born-again on the inside, for the Spirit of God comes to live in you and becomes within you a well of water springing up into everlasting life (John 4:14) so that you can start living the God kind and essence of life!
Isaiah 55:2-3 says, “Why do you [a]spend money for what is not bread,
And your wages for what does not satisfy?
Listen carefully to Me, and eat what is good,
And let your soul delight itself in abundance.
3 Incline your ear, and come to Me.
Hear, and your soul shall live; (NKJV).
God asked His people 6,000 years ago in the Bible. He only asked of His people, and every command or instruction He’s given us is for our good. When we take His Word into our hearts and live on it, we experience the good life He has planned for us.
When we live like Jesus, e stat HeHe, “nNotby bread alone but every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.” (Matthew 4:4). No matter what happens in this world, we can still have a rich, overflowing, and satisfying life.
Proverbs 4, “20 My son, give attention to my words;
Incline your ear to my sayings.
21 Do not let them depart from your eyes;
Keep them in the midst of your heart;
22 For they are life to those who find them,
And health to all their flesh.
23 Keep your heart with all diligence,
For out of it spring the issues of life. (NKJV).
The phrase “attend to God’s Word” means “give it to your attention.” It will cause our faith to rise, so that we can receive what He has promised. So, we put the first place in our lives, schedule it as a priority, and make it a part of our hearts in abundance. It changes our thinking and brings us into agreement with God, so we’re working with Him rather than against Him. It was just visiting by and by. But if you are into it, the Holy Spirit will encourage and desire you to seek God. You will give delight to the Lord.
One way to attend the Word is to attend a good Bible-based church. You are listening to their sermons on CDs, DVDs, or media. As for me, I keep listening to the CD while sleeping and walking. It develops that faith comes from hearing, and hearing from the Word of God being preached. Revelation and Rhema come more accessible when you’re listening to an anointed man or woman of God who knows the Word and is called to minister it. With their help, you can learn things faster than you can by trying all by yourself to dig out of the Bible all the answers you need. I partnered with Divine Connection Fivefold Ministries. They are experienced and anointed by God.
In addition to hearing the Word of God in the church, you must read and study your Bible and faith-filled materials at home. After all, we live on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and not only on Sunday. In my case, I couldn’t go to the church; it was closed and then reopened. It’s just as you put natural food into your body daily to eat God’s Word. It is not enough to hear a sermon once or twice a week. We need to feed on and heed His Word continually.
Heeding it means getting in heartfelt agreement with it so that you act on it or be a doer, as it is as essential as hearing only. Moreover, we grow in the spiritual realm as God intends. We don’t spend time in the Word merely to gain intellectual knowledge. It is not enough to help in times of need. The Word in your heart is what will meet your demand in times of trouble. It will bring you victory and a breakthrough.

“Sozu Life” is a spiritual and theological concept coined by Roselyn Van Dyk, a Christian self-published author from Australia, as part of her writings on prosperity gospel and abundant living in Christ. It represents a holistic vision of divine prosperity—encompassing complete wholeness in health, finances, relationships, emotions, and spirit—free from “lacking, missing, or brokenness.” Van Dyk frames it as the “God kind of prosperity,” drawing directly from biblical promises like John 10:10 (“I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full”) and 3 John 1:2 (prosperity in all things, just as the soul prospers).Historical and Personal Origins The term emerges from Van Dyk’s personal transformative experience, which she describes as a pivotal “divine encounter” in her faith journey. In 2016, during a church service at Upper Coomera Church on the Gold Coast, Australia, she received what she calls an audible message from God, witnessed by her pastor (Kerrin) and two other Christian women. This moment, evoking Acts 2:1-3 (the “suddenly” of Pentecost), marked a profound shift in her life, leading to miracles, signs, and wonders that she attributes to God’s unmerited favor (grace). She began writing about this in 2016 to testify to her rebirth and salvation, revising and expanding the theme in 2022 across multiple books. Van Dyk’s inspiration stems from broader prosperity gospel teachings, emphasizing faith-activated abundance over mere wishing. “Sozu” appears to be her neologism or stylized shorthand, possibly derived from or paired with “Soteria” (the Greek biblical term for salvation, implying deliverance, healing, preservation, and wholeness). In her works, she explicitly links “Soteria and Sozu life” to total prosperity: healing, deliverance, blessings, and a life of “no missing and no lacking.”
This pairing underscores her belief in salvation’s multifaceted benefits, extending beyond spiritual redemption to practical, earthly thriving. Her writing career began as a devotional passion to spread the Gospel, fueled by personal testimonies of financial breakthrough, emotional restoration, and relational harmony. By sharing these, she aims to encourage readers to confess and decree God’s Word daily, turning impossible circumstances into victories.
Development Through Her Books Van Dyk has woven “Sozu Life” into a series of self-published books since 2016, continuing and pursuing them in 2020, using them as vehicles for scripture-based affirmations and testimonies. Keywordsinclude:
- THE MIRACLES, SIGNS, WONDERS AND VOICE OF THANKSGIVING (2022 revision): Introduces “Sozu Life” explicitly as part of salvation’s unmerited favor, detailing her Gold Coast encounter and its manifestations.
- WORD OF GOD: CLAIM YOUR VICTORY (date not specified, but aligns with her ongoing series): Provides scriptural patterns for confessing prosperity, emphasizing “Sozu Life” principles for healing, finances, and breakthroughs.
- You Are Destined for a Prosperous Life (2022): Explores destiny in abundant living, tying into
- “Sozu” as God’s intended wholeness.
- LIVING ABUNDANT AND PROSPEROUS LIFE (2022): A practical guide to embodying this life through praise, thanksgiving, and faith.
These books form a thematic series, with more planned, and are circulating globally via platforms such as Amazon. Van Dyk’s X (formerly Twitter) account promotes this content, for example, in a June 2025 post that describes “Sozu life” as total prosperity in family, soul, finances, and joy.
Her bio as a “Christian anointed self-published author” reflects this mission, with 757 followers engaging her low-key, scripture-infused shares. Cultural and Theological Context. While rooted in Van Dyk’s testimony, “Sozu Life” echoes prosperity theology popularized by figures such as Joel Osteen and Kenneth Copeland, but with a personal, Australia-based twist. It’s not derived from ancient traditions (e.g., unlike the unrelated fictional “Sozu” character in fantasy lore, born in a marshland 400 years ago, but from modern evangelical revivalism. Van Dyk positions it as accessible to anyone through simple practices, such as reciting Bible verses aloud, making it a tool for spiritual and material growth in uncertain times. In essence, “Sozu Life” originated as Van Dyk’s Spirit-led revelation in 2016 and has since become a cornerstone of her authorship, inspiring believers toward God’s promised abundance. Soteria: A Detailed Explanation Soteria (Greek: σωτηρία, sōtēría) is a foundational term in Christian theology, most commonly translated as “salvation” in English Bibles. However, its meaning extends far beyond a narrow spiritual rescue, encompassing deliverance, preservation, safety, healing, and wholeness in both physical and ethical dimensions.
Derived from the verb sōzō (to save, rescue, or heal) and related to sōtēr (savior), soteria conveys comprehensive rescue from peril—whether from enemies, destruction, sin, or even everyday dangers.
In the New Testament, it appears 45 times, emphasizing God’s active intervention on behalf of humanity.
This multifaceted concept has shaped doctrines of salvation (soteriology) across centuries, influencing everything from early church writings to modern prosperity teachings. Etymology and Core Linguistic Meaning
- Origins: Soteria is a feminine noun from classical Greek, predating the Bible. In secular usage, it referred to practical deliverance, such as a safe return home after a perilous journey or preservation from shipwreck.
It implied not just survival but restoration to a state of soundness and security.
- Biblical Adaptation: In the Septuagint (Greek Old Testament), soteria translates Hebrew terms such as yeshu’ah (deliverance or victory), broadening its meaning to include God’s redemptive acts in history (e.g., the Exodus).
By the New Testament era, it carried ethical weight, pointing to rescue from moral and spiritual ruin.
- Key Nuances:
- Deliverance: Freedom from external threats (e.g., enemies or natural disasters).
- Preservation: Safeguarding life and well-being.
- Safety/Healing: Restoration to health, both physical (sōzō often means “to heal” in the Gospels) and soul-deep wholeness.
- Salvation: The culmination—eternal rescue through divine grace.
In essence, soteria is dynamic: it’s God’s holistic “rescue operation” that addresses the totality of human brokenness.
Biblical Usage: Soteria appears throughout the New Testament, from the Gospels to Revelation, often in contexts of Messianic hope, present faith, and future glory. It underscores salvation as a gift through Jesus Christ, the ultimate Sōtēr (Savior; Titus 2:13). Here’s a table summarizing key occurrences, grouped by theme, with select verses (using NIV translation for clarity):
| Theme | Verse(s) | Context and Meaning |
| Messianic Deliverance | Luke 1:69, 71, 77 John 4:22 | Zechariah’s prophecy: God raises “a horn of salvation” to rescue from enemies and grant knowledge of forgiveness. Emphasizes national and personal liberation. bibletools.org |
| Present Possession | Luke 19:9 Acts 4:12 Ephesians 1:13 | Zacchaeus’s encounter: “Today salvation has come to this house.” Highlights immediate ethical transformation and inclusion in God’s people. biblehub.com |
| Healing and Wholeness | Acts 27:34 James 5:15 (related sōzō) | Paul’s shipwreck: “Not a hair… will be lost” for physical preservation. Ties to faith’s role in bodily healing. blueletterbible.org |
| Future Eschatological Hope | Romans 13:11 Philippians 2:12 1 Peter 1:9-10 | Awakening to “salvation… nearer now than when we first believed.” Prophets inquired into this “grace,” linking suffering to eternal glory. bibletools.org |
| Heavenly Worship | Revelation 7:10; 12:10; 19:1 | Multitude cries: “Salvation belongs to our God!” Celebrates ultimate victory over evil. billmounce.com |
These uses reveal soteria’s “fourfold” aspect: saved from sin’s penalty (justification), power (sanctification), presence (glorification), and even its pleasure (freedom from temptation’s pull).
biblestudytools.com
Hebrews employs it seven times—the most of any book—focusing on Christ’s superior priesthood, which enables full deliverance (e.g., Hebrews 2:3; 5:9).
Theological Implications: Soteriology the study of soteria, views salvation as God’s comprehensive work:
- Past: Rescue from sin’s penalty through Christ’s atonement (Romans 5:1-11). It’s unmerited grace, not earned (Ephesians 2:8-9).
- Present: Ongoing deliverance from sin’s power, fostering growth in holiness and abundant life (John 10:10; Philippians 2:12-13).
- Future: Complete eradication of sin’s presence in eternity (1 Thessalonians 5:8-9). This triad reflects soteria’s breadth: spiritual (forgiveness), relational (reconciliation), and practical (provision, health).
Early Christians saw it as dominion over “enslaving passions” causing disease and sin, evidenced by healing and moral freedom.
In prosperity gospel circles, soteria expands to include material blessings, viewing salvation as covenantal wholeness—health, wealth, and relational harmony—as part of God’s promises (e.g., 3 John 1:2).
Critics argue this overemphasizes the physical, but proponents see it as reclaiming soteria’s original holistic scope. Soteria in Roselyn Van Dyk’s “Sozu Lif e”. In our prior discussion, author Roselyn Van Dyk pairs soteria with her coined term “Sozu life” to describe “total prosperity”: a divine state of no “lacking, missing, or brokenness” in health, finances, relationships, emotions, and spirit. Drawing on her 2016 “divine encounter,” Van Dyk interprets soteria as salvation’s unmerited favor (charis), manifesting miracles such as financial breakthroughs and emotional restoration. She links it to scriptures like John 10:10 and 3 John 1:2, urging believers to “confess and decree” wholeness aloud. In her books (e.g., The Miracles, Signs, Wonders and Voice of Thanksgiving), soteria-Sozu equates to faith-activated abundance, echoing prosperity theology while rooting it in personal testimony. This makes soteria not just doctrinal but experiential—a call to embody God’s promised thriving. For further reading, resources such as Theological Dictionary of the New Testament or Van Dyk’s works offer deeper dives.
Soteria ultimately invites reflection: In what areas of life do you seek God’s deliverance today?

Sozu life principles
The Core Principles of “Sozu Life”(as taught and lived by Roselyn Van Dyk). Roselyn Van Dyk consistently presents Sozu Life as the practical outworking of Soteria — the full, holistic salvation of God that leaves nothing lacking, missing, or broken. It is not a separate doctrine but her personal, experiential summary of what it means to live in the “abundant life” Jesus promised (John 10:10) and the “prosper even as your soul prospers” blessing (3 John 1:2). Here are the 12 main principles she repeats across her books, videos, and social media posts (quoted or paraphrased directly from her writings):
- Sozu Life = Total Wholeness
“Sozu life means no lacking, no missing, and no brokenness in any area — spirit, soul, body, finances, family, relationships, emotions, and destiny.” - It Is Already Paid For
“Jesus already purchased Sozu life for you on the cross. It is not something you beg for — it is something you receive and enforce by faith.” - Faith Activates, Not Just Belief
“Wishing does not bring Sozu life. You must speak the Word of God aloud with boldness and conviction — faith-filled words release the power of God.” - Daily Confession of Scripture Is Non-Negotiable
“Confess who you are and what belongs to you in Christ every single day. Your mouth is the steering wheel of your life.” - Thanksgiving and Praise Unlock Manifestation
“A voice of thanksgiving opens the gates for miracles, signs, and wonders. Praise brings Sozu life from the spiritual realm into the natural.” - Prosperity of the Soul Comes First
“Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers” (3 John 1:2). Inner healing, peace, and alignment with God’s Word must come before outer prosperity can be sustained. - Sozu Life Includes Divine Health and Healing
“By His stripes you were healed. Divine health is your covenant right. Speak healing scriptures over your body daily.” - Financial Breakthrough Is Part of Sozu
“God wants you to have more than enough so you can be a blessing. Poverty is not humility is a lie. Receive your financial Sozu!” - Family and Relationships Are Restored in Sozu Life
“Marriages healed, children returning, broken relationships mended — Sozu life restores what the enemy stole.” - Grace, Not Works
“Sozu life is unmerited favour. You don’t earn it by good behaviour — you receive it because Jesus already qualified you.” - Live from Heaven to Earth, Not Earth to Heaven
“Stop asking God to do what He already did. Declare what is already yours in the spirit realm and watch it manifest on earth.” - Sozu Life Is for Here and Now + Eternity.
“Jesus did not come so you could barely make it until heaven. He came so you can live the God-kind of life on earth right now — and then enjoy heaven later.”
How Roselyn Teaches People to Practise Sozu Life Daily
- Morning confession of 20–30 selected scriptures (healing, prosperity, peace, protection)
- Speaking in tongues to charge your spirit
- Thanksgiving list — thanking God in advance for manifestations
- Refusing to speak negative words (“Death and life are in the power of the tongue”)
- Giving and sowing seed as an act of faith (she often ties this to financial Sozu)
- Standing firmly when symptoms or circumstances contradict the Word
In summary, Sozu Life is Roselyn Van Dyk’s passionate, simplified, and highly practical presentation of prosperity-gospel-flavoured, Word-of-Faith Christianity — with a strong emphasis on confession, thanksgiving, grace, and immediate wholeness in every area of li fe. If you read her books or watch her videos, you will hear these 12 principles repeated in almost every chapter and post.
Here are realistic, daily Sozu Life confessions written in the exact style and tone Roselyn Van Dyk uses in her books, videos, and X posts.

Roselyn always ends her confession time with loud thanksgiving and often dances or speaks in tongues for a few minutes to “seal” the declarations. Ou can personalise these by adding your name or specific needs (e.g., “My body is healed of ___”, “R10,000 comes to me this week”), but she teaches to keep the majority of confessions focused on what God has ALREADY done — not on begging Him to do i t. Speak them daily and, in her words, “watch Sozu life explode in every area!”
Sozu confessions for healing
What Is the Word of Faith Movement? The Word of Faith (WoF) movement — also known as the Faith Movement, the Prosperity Gospel, or the Health and Wealth Gospel — is a charismatic/Pentecostal stream of Christianity that became prominent in the late 20th century. It teaches that:
- God has already provided healing, prosperity, and total victory for every believer through the finished work of Jesus on the cross.
- Christians can activate and receive these blessings by exercising faith, especially through positive confession (speaking God’s Word aloud).
- Your words have creative power — what you continually say (positively or negatively) shapes your reality.
- Poverty, sickness, and defeat are never God’s will for the believer; they are either attacks from Satan that must be resisted or the result of unbelief/negative confession.
The movement’s unofficial slogan is:
“What you believe and speak with your mouth is what you will have.”
(Mark 11:23–24 is the key verse.)Historical Origins
| Year | Key Event / Figure |
| 1940s–50s | E. W. Kenyon (1867–1948) lays the theological foundation. He blended Pentecostal experience with New Thought metaphysics, teaching that faith is a “spiritual law” and that believers have the same creative power as God when they speak in faith. |
| 1950s–60s | Kenneth E. Hagin Sr. (1917–2003) was healed as a teenager by applying Mark 11:23 24. He popularizes Kenyon’s ideas in Pentecostal circles and is widely regarded as the modern “father” of Word of Faith.” |
| 1970s–80s | Hagin founds Rhema Bible Training College (1974). His students explode the message worldwide: Kenneth & Gloria Copeland, Fred Price, Jerry Savelle, Charles Capps, etc. |
| 1980s–90s | The movement goes mainstream via television: TBN, Copeland’s Believer’s Voice of Victory, Creflo Dollar, Benny Hinn, Joel Osteen (later), Jesse Duplantis, etc. |
| 2000s–now | Hagin founded Rhema Bible Training College (1974). His students spread the message worldwide: Kenneth & Gloria Copeland, Fred Price, Jerry Savelle, Charles Capps, etc. |
Core Doctrines (the “big five” most often repeated)
- Positive Confession – Your words create reality. “Say it, believe it, receive it.”
- **The hundredfold return and seed-faith giving – Give money to ministries, and God is obligated to multiply it back (Mark 10:30).
- Guaranteed physical healing in the atonement – “By His stripes we are healed” (Isa 53:5) means healing is already yours now; sickness is from the devil.
- Believers have authority over circumstances, demons, and even weather (like Jesus rebuking the storm).
- God wants every believer prosperous – Poverty is a curse; wealth is evidence of faith.
Key Scriptures (heavily emphasized)
- Mark 11:23–24 – “Whoever says to this mountain… and does not doubt in his heart…”
- 3 John 1:2 – “Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health…”
- Romans 4:17 – “…calls those things which do not exist as though they did.”
- Proverbs 18:21 – “Death and life are in the power of the tongue.”
- 2 Corinthians 8:9 – “Though He was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor, that you through His poverty might become rich.”
How “Sozu Life” Fits In: Roselyn Van Dyk’s Sozu Life teaching is a classic, textbook example of Word of Faith doctrine with an Australian flavor:
- She consistently uses “positive confession” lists (similar to Kenneth Hagin’s and Charles Capps’ confession booklets).
- She teaches that healing and wealth are already paid for and must be “received by faith.”
- She stresses speaking the Word aloud every day.
- She links prosperity directly to 3 John 1:2 and John 10:10.
- She uses the phrase “no lacking, no missing, no brokenness” — a direct parallel to Hagin’s “total life prosperity.”
In short, Sozu Life is Word of Faith Christianity re-branded with Roselyn’s personal testimony and the coined term “Sozu.”Criticisms of Word of Faith (for balance)Critics (both evangelical and secular) commonly raise these points:
- Over-realized eschatology — promises meant for the age to come are claimed fully now.
- Name-it-and-claim-it / blab-it-and-grab-it caricature (though defenders say this is a straw-man).
- Financial abuse — pressure to give with promises of multiplied return.
- Theological issues — some early WoF teachers spoke of believers as “little gods” (from Psalm 82:6 and John 10:34), which many mainstream Christians consider heretical.
- When healing or prosperity doesn’t manifest, the person is blamed for “lack of faith.”
Defenders reply that the critics preach a “defeatist gospel” and ignore hundreds of scriptures on abundance and authority. Quick Comparison Table
| Teaching | Classic Evangelical View | Word of Faith View |
| Healing | God can heal, but not guaranteed now | Healing is in the atonement; claim it now |
| Prosperity | God provides needs; wealth not promised | God wants you rich; poverty is a curse |
| Faith | Trust in God’s will | A force you use to create reality |
| Words | Important, but not creative power | Your words have causative, god-like power |
| Suffering | Part of Christian life (Rom 8:17, Phil 1:29) | God provides needs; wealth is not promised |
Whether you agree or disagree, the Word of Faith movement has undeniably shaped modern charismatic Christianity and is the direct theological root of Roselyn Van Dyk’s “Sozu Life” message.
