TWISTS AND TURNS

But life seems to be unpredictable. It twists and turns, with potholes and bumpy roads that are visible. It’s the journey that we take. I didn’t realize I had become part of this story’s chapter and episode. I am the second wife. I enjoy meditating on what it means to be a virtuous woman. Proverbs 31:10-31. It tells us a great deal about the righteous woman. I believe it’s time for women, not just me, to appreciate God’s virtues in our lives.

But I can see from the pictures that this lady has done an excellent job looking and caring for him during this critical time of his life. But I won’t go into details because we are imperfect and make mistakes for many reasons.

Whether your husband is abled or disabled, having flaws, and other issues. It’s about knowing your worth and your God, getting power and results through faith. We want to know the results of our prayers. We want to see results manifesting in our lives: better individuals, daughters, sisters, and friends due to our reading the Word and applying the wisdom God reveals to us. I refer this to my sister-in-law and myself, as well, who just passed away recently.

In my journey, I learned that there’s a process that God wants to see in our lives. I read all about the Virtuous Woman. I wanted to become 100% applying to these Bible verses before and after becoming a born-again believer. I tried to get it right. It would take years, though, for me to understand the flaws and all. The way I talk, the way I react, and ways of handling a disabled spouse with understanding. Though I adapted my situation as a carer as the years passed, it was not easy. I wonder why I stick to it. Is there any secret? This is not a self-help book.

As I studied, I learned everything in the Bible; it described what a virtuous woman should be. An honest woman should be. It is trustworthy. I knew I could be trusted, so I kept reading this for so long that I told my sister-in-law I would write this book before she died. I check! It is also a reflection of myself.

It said a virtuous woman would do her husband good, no evil. I continued to read the Bible and reflect on what I read in Solomon of Solomon 4:7. “You are altogether beautiful; there is no flaw in you.” I am not trying to beat myself up because of my past behavior. God said I was beautiful and capable of doing things because of God’s grace and unmerited favor. I began telling myself that. My past behavior was insecurities and low self-esteem. How come for the men who propose, I chose the one I have to care for as I become wife-carer? Is it my destiny and purpose? I have to say, and it’s my testimony to write this book as it was being prophesied to help women against the odds. There is life on every page of this book, as are the prophetic words from the KCM praying department.

As I read and look at God’s Word, we should see ourselves in it and begin to reflect on how God sees us. As it says, a virtuous woman is worth more than rubies.” That is how God sees us, like a diamond jewel in the house if I say it that way. I am not suggesting that we are big headsets. I recommend we take a closer look at the values God instilled in us and appreciate those values. If you happen to be an outspoken and boisterous woman in nature, talkative, but secretly wish you were not because you were teased and criticized about being demanding. I do talk loud, but I can’t help it. God gave you to speak up and speak out. I asked my husband to be like this lady if you are a soft-spoken woman. As he said, be what you are. But I am changing though more quiet. I embraced the quiet strength God put in me. We reflect God’s virtues by being authentic and fully embracing our uniqueness. As we look for the mirror of God’s Word and naturally adjust our thinking, we will see adjustments in our behavior and attitude. Those adjustments will transform our lives. I thought, is this for me?

The pain, the heartache, the disappointment, or whatever situation you may have faced in the past and your current problem can be turned around in your favor. By getting a hold of God’s Word, you will find your mourning turning into joy.

By the way, I have a series of books entitled “Word of God,” “God’s Promises in the Bible,” and more books related to this book. I encouraged you to read Proverbs 31 repeatedly as the Word of God continues to give birth to more and more revelation. God’s Word is so fresh, active, and alive. It’s not only ink and paper. It is full of truth that it will bring forth a revelation you’ve never seen before. There is a work that God wants to do in our lives that will cause us to forget about our past and begin to expect God for beautiful experiences.
