HIT THE REWIND BUTTON TO BE THANKFUL

Wherefore I put thee in remembrance that thou stir up the gift of God, which is in thee by putting on my hands-2 Timothy 1:6.

There are memories that we should never forget. We should constantly hit the rewind button in our minds and replay the times that God has been faithful to us in the past. Have you experienced the delivering and rescuing power of God? When those moments that your situation looks hopeless, but suddenly God’s amazing grace intervenes, and it drastically changes miraculously. On the other hand, we often fail to remember God’s faithfulness in the past. Our memories become blurry because of the problems we’re currently facing. We forget that we’ve gone through the same or worse circumstances before. It’s also notable that when we encounter new challenges, we often fail to remember God’s faithfulness in the past.

Suppose you are going through a difficult time right now. I will remind you that it could be this is not the first challenge you’ve faced. You survived the last one. Besides, you probably learned some valuable lessons through it. When it comes to David, the Lord be with you. (see 1 Samuel 17:37). Remember your past successes as God wants to take you on a true journey, studying the Word, bringing impressive results. It will help us purge our negative thoughts and turn them into positive reviews. One example, when David faced the giant Goliath, he fought the lion and the bear he’d already defeated, and it gave him courage in his situation.

Remember your past success experiences. Better days are on their way. Go to the Word of God. Don’t forget what God has already done for you. So, those memories will stir you up and encourage you to face your current dilemma with faith. God has been faithful to you, and in the past, He will be devoted to you again.

If the enemy whispers to you, there is no way you’ll survive what you’re encountering right now. Then hit the rewind button, and ask the Holy Spirit to help you to recollect all those past events when God helped you through difficult times and try to regather as you replay those memories over and over again in your mind. Our faith will rise to a new level of confidence. We’ll be able to look our problems right in the face. We would say, God’s record with me has always been faithfulness, and I know in my heart He’ll be faithful to me now as well like before, for He never leaves me nor forsake me.

You never forget how: The Lord has healed you, physically, emotionally, and spiritually, the Lord has delivered you from fear, the Lord has redeemed you from your sin, the Lord has redeemed you from law and legalism, the Lord has saved you, the Lord has given you grace, the Lord has guided and directed you, the Lord has brought you through difficult trials, the Lord has provided you during financial times, the Lord has protected you from the snare of the enemy, the Lord has given you a fulfilling marriage, the Lord has given you good children, the Lord has given you talents, abilities, and knowledge, the Lord has given you hope for the future and the Lord has set you free because you know the truth it’s the Word of God. We accepted JESUS IS LORD.
