THERE ARE TEN LOVE LANGUAGES

 COMMUNICATION

As a culture, we love communicating from dawn to nighttime and beyond. We’re texting, emailing, listening to the TV, listening to podcasts on our daily walk, seeing and hearing talking heads express opinions on broadcast radio, TV news, friends or family, and relatives for a party or get-together. We are leaving voice messages for our doctor or anyone else. Even our cars talk to us, guiding us where we need to go. Our nearest and dearest shout at us from the following rooms. What is happening there? And the list goes on. Rare is the place we can find silence or peace.

And yet, communicate we must. But what kind of communication, you ask? For us here at home, it is about the TV news that we see during the night for one-hour news worldwide. We keep talking about the news, the rumors of wars and conflicts everywhere. Sometimes, early in the morning, we have to ask what happened to so and so, politics, what are the latest conflicts in some other countries. Much more so in economics, cost of living, housing prices, rental, and mortgage.

However, I am not supposed to be part of this trouble as my husband says I should relax. No anxiety, and refrain from stress, fear, and worries because our house is paid off, with no rental. We have a pension from the government that never runs out, and we invest extra money for what we need, so with the medical costs, it’s free.

But no, I have to be part of this chaotic world. How I wish I didn’t watch the news, for it creates anxiety feelings. What would happen then is the causes of being irritable and disturbing images from the TV and newspaper that make you cringe. In the meantime, that will affect the family circle members in the house. Suppose your husband is always into it with those rumors and evil reports. In that case, the same things affect your marriage and relationship without realizing it creeps into your home life.

The new technology causes all these factors your children use on social media, video games, and other TV or movie graphics images. It has become a problem in society that parents can’t control anymore because they are busy themselves and all the attention is on the box (mobile or cell phone), whatever is available in your home.

Nevertheless, as my husband told me when we talked about so many breaks and entering into the premises of homes, stealing the cars in the carport of other people’s homes, killing people with the knife in his hand because he has a mental illness, attacking knives to the bishop and another incident that causes so much havoc in our society with the gun laws has been ban for they consider as sports. That’s why there is so much havoc in schools, shopping malls, churches, and other places you couldn’t expect. It’s sad. Therefore, these higher crimes in our society have become so rampant. It could be how these children were brought out without the guidance of their parents, who were also the same fate due to their traumatic past in their lives and wrong influence by peer groups, drugs, crimes, alcoholism, and violent movies. Moreover, some religious institutions, clerics, and maybe wrong influences turn into terrorism due to social media and other factors.
